matt_h Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 Hello All, I'm looking for something along the lines of a Fohnn Easy-Port system to hire for an event in June in the Buckinghamshire area. Does anybody know of any local suppliers that would hold such a thing? This is for a set of mobile displays with audio description to small groups of people (20-30) at a farm event. No hard power available, generators are out, and for a variety of reasons that will quickly take this off topic inverters would be possible at a push, but best avoided. Thanks in advance, Matt

StevieR Posted May 4, 2013 Posted May 4, 2013 Hi Matt, If the battery life is an important feature for this application then be careful with the cheaper systems on the market. A lot of these can run down quicker than expected. The Fohhn Easyports appear to be one of the best in this particular respect and one of the reasons we stock them. Ww're not local but we can ship this item down. PM for more details if interested. Steve
Jivemaster Posted May 5, 2013 Posted May 5, 2013 It's discipline with the on/off switch that will determine how long the batteries last.
matt_h Posted May 5, 2013 Author Posted May 5, 2013 Thanks all. Ninjadingle I haven't received your PM? Steve, thank you I will bear you in mind, but I suspect that shipping PA systems from one end of the country to the other probably won't sit well with the supposed "green credentials" for this event! I should add that the Estate has asked for our assistance with staging this event. It's a bit painful as they know what they want to do, but no real idea of what's involved with achieving it. We have a meeting on Thursday where we may be able to talk them into something a bit more conventional, however I've worked with the Fohnn systems before and know they would be the right tool for this job, however I am aware that they are a bit specialist for hire stock! Many Thanks Matt
J Pearce Posted May 5, 2013 Posted May 5, 2013 Seeing as you're on his doorstep Andy Crown in Quainton is worth getting in touch with, on the off chance he has something in his stock. PM me if you need contact details.
