d.breeze
Hello Looking to purcahse a case/trunk/bin/skip/container for a rather large drape. An initial catalogue/google search has warranted no promising results. Anyone got any ideas? Thanks.
Shez
How large is "rather large"? In terms of folded dimensions rather than hung...
d.breeze
Uhm...well...that depends on who folds it! I'm reckoning I need something approx 1mx1mx1m (ish)

Yorkie
An IBC is an 'Intermediate Bulk Container': http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intermediate_bulk_container . If you've got access to a pallet truck the best bet might be a plastic stillage though, eg http://www.palletower.com/products/plastic-box-pallets.php?group=plastic-box-pallets
Chris Beesley
http://www.alisonhandling.com - I have used them a few times for the crocodile lidded boxes... very handy company and their used gear can often be very cheap!
ladyjayne
Wheelie bin?
bruce
There's only one problem with using a wheelie bin. I know of one venue that used a standard-size wheelie bin to store mic stands. Just the right size to hold a dozen stands, and easy to move around the venue. However, one morning, they left it sitting in the loading bay, and.... I'm sure you can guess the rest! Ashley R
Ouch! Maybe then the solution is to stencil on the bin DO NOT COLLECT in large letters? And ensure that it is not left with the other bins...
ladyjayne
Was going to suggest a can of spray paint but Ashley beat me to it...
Yorkie
People who see it in a corridor and don't read will still put empty coffee cups and other detritus in it, surely

Wilflet
are we talking storage storage or touring?IBCs are annoying to carry without forks/pallet truckIs a canvas bag an option and taxi it in on a wheeled flight case?I recently saw a drape of similar proportions in a very large pelli type case, maybe 1m x 1.2m, not 1m deep, but unless your drape is properly massive half decent folding might get it in?
