What's the best way to get work & experience in the west-end?

Sorry Smiffy, I'm not trying to pretend to be founder of all knowledge. Very far from that but I'm just stating what I have been told by my parents (who used to work with him, hence him now being my uncle). I think from what I was told, he basically worked with this director at Rep House level and then when he went freelance she didn't give him any work because of their major arguments. Obviously I wasn't there 20 years or so ago, so I can't really give the ins and outs. On a completely different topic, I like your work Smiffy!
