PAR 56 PAR CANS

Strictly it also depends on the length of the cable. As Nick says, I would go with 1.5mm as this will take 10Amps 40 metres. My table says you could use 1.0mm but I personally would go with 1.5mm. You definatly could not use 0.5mm.

Am I ok to wire two par 56`s to a 3 core 0.5mm power cable.

I too would err on the side of caution, but would also ask a question to clarify...

When you say 'wire two par cans' what EXACTLY do you mean?

Use an extension cable of 0.5mm cable with a doubler/grelco to split to the two lanterns?

Or literally hard-wire two lanterns together in that cable???

I want to power two par 56`s joined together with a 6amp connector block to the above mentioned cable.

But having looked at the other repsonses I see that it is not the best idea.

Only wanted to use that cable as we have reels of it knocking about. It was only for one night for a preiod of

a few hours but , I m not going to chance it!

:(
