gyro_gearloose
A quick Google came up with this from Enttec. I am assuming of course that you have an Enttec DMX interface.

david.elsbury
Well, no, because to use Lightjockey you have to have the Martin interface... that's the way it works. It's professional software which took time and money to develop, so they recoup their costs by making it only work on their hardware. Stop being a cheap-ar$e! gnomatron
Freestyler is supposed to be quite good and from what little I've seen of it looks similar to lightjockey; worth a look anyway.
whitehousejamie
The driver is installed on your PC when installing LightJockey.
Tomo
The driver is installed on your PC when installing LightJockey. That's the driver for the Lightjockey USB-DMX dongle. It doesn't work for anything else - that's how Martin make their money on the product. Jivemaster
You have to chose a system then stick with it. A freeware (freestyler et al) will be as cheap as the dongle you chose (prob typ £50) Support will be informal and waranty NIL. With commercial software there WILL be a security measure to ensure that you pay for the development, - so only the correct software and dongle work together. However the support will be formal and usually good quality and there will be product waranty.
whitehousejamie
I'm not sure we're talking the same thing here. The new dongle for LightJockey is called the Universal USB/DMX, and I assume the guy is talking about that. If not, go spend the money on the official product like the rest of us (myself included) had to.
KevinE
I dont want to muddy the waters but there are a few third party companies who make a Lightjockey-compatible dongle! Not sure if they're infringing any patents or whether they circumnavigate them somehow! I don't know anyone who uses them.
