Can anyone help?

As part of my course, I have an assignment where I have to design a system for an outdoor venue, im trying to apply a separate 4 way monitor mix on stage...I know im probably being thick but its the first time ive had to do it ... so... my problem is....

getting from the multicore to the stage monitor desk as follows:

source signal--->---multicore-->---F.O.H Desk--->---Amps etc--->---Speakers(L - R)

................................V (??)

.............................monitor desk--->---Amps etc--->---monitors (FB1, FB2, FB3, Drum Fill).

Any help would be muchly appreciated...

cheers.

As part of my course, I have an assignment ..........

There is a search button at the top of each page. This has all been discussed at length this year!

Once you have read some other threads, then please ask if you have any other questions.

hi MarkPAman,

thankyou for the direction, ive only just joined the forum so im just working my way around it, I know the answer must be fairly simple, ive just got a complete brain lock and have been searching for some info all evening, but so far, it would seem, nothing has given me a straight coherent structure of getting the important signals to the monitor desk. I must be looking in the wrong places. Would it be something along the lines of just another stage box thats attached to female inputson the main stagebox, that sends the signal back out via male outputs into the desk?? Sorry if im asking you the question, my head is going explode.

cheers bud.

The two accepted ways of doing this would be to either split the feed at the stage and send the inputs to both the Monitor and FOH consoles or, if your desk(s) support it, to use direct outs from each channel.

As has been mentioned, there was a discussion of how to achieve these things as recently as two weeks ago in THIS THREAD.

Since it's so recent, I'm going to close this one and suggest that, if you still have questions after reading through the thread above, you continue that discussion.

I see Yorkie posted the same link just before me...but the result is still the same. FYI, I got to that thread by using "monitor split" in the search box. See how well it works?
