johnhuson Posted February 1, 2007 Posted February 1, 2007 Hi Guys, Need to pick your brains, I have a client who wants to buy a Studio Due Space Flower type effect but one which will project it's beams vertically. A standard Space Flower has a maximum tilt of about 45 degrees from horizontal. Any idea's of anyone who makes such a product? My client is adamant that they have seen such a product, but I'm starting to think it might of been from something like a MAC 2000 or similar, but thats a little expensive considering it only needs to produce a flower effect! Any ideas on a postcard please!
ColourBlack Posted February 1, 2007 Posted February 1, 2007 The Novalight Novaflower is a Space Flower with Pan + Tilt. Also has CMY Mixing, Variable Zoom etc. Richard Martin Lighting have them for hire. P
Lxdoc Posted February 1, 2007 Posted February 1, 2007 Hi, How about a mirror attachment on the front. Optikinetics use this sort of thing for the old Solar 250 range for producing vertical beams. Front mirror attachment Hope this is of use, Martin
niclights Posted February 1, 2007 Posted February 1, 2007 ^ I'm not sure if such a mirror would be large enough for a unit of this size even if you figured out a way of attaching/mounting! I've never been able to find the Novaflower online. Their website does list simlar size unit though - 'High Ground' which has 262 degree tilt.
ColourBlack Posted February 1, 2007 Posted February 1, 2007 http://www.richardmartinlighting.co.uk/products.html The Highground is a single beam - more like a Synchrolite P
niclights Posted February 2, 2007 Posted February 2, 2007 Excellent! I was aware about the difference, just made the link that they probably both have the same pan/tilt range. Which they do :D
Dave Hallett Posted February 3, 2007 Posted February 3, 2007 I've never been able to find the Novaflower online. Their website does list simlar size unit though - 'High Ground' which has 262 degree tilt. You can see what they do on 'Dancing on Ice' on ITV1 on a Saturday night. There are 3 Novaflowers doing beams for the skate ons. Cheers, Dave
