  1. #Hides behind the curtain before admitting to still using XP. I'm also a fan of LINUX, got a couple of Raspberry Pis running odds and sods plus a couple of arduinos..... I have 4 old touch screen tablet /laptops (the type that open up then the screen rotates and it folds up, hiding the keyboard but leaving the pen type touch screen visible. Works in portrait or landscape) They have a docking adapter that I've fitted to a angelpoise lamp type arm. They are perfect for the limited space I have to work in, But definitely not the end of the world if I have to upgrade. Once I've used a production it never comes out again. So Clean sheet for me. Really appreciate the work you are doing. T
  2. Time, Stopwatch, Go, and Stop to the Left. Cue list in the rest of the window, I dont use the notes. I really only use very basic functions. I play audio cues (Wav format) and send serial cues to my arduino based DMX controller I use an arduino Leonardo as a keyboard emulator to trigger/stop cues. a USB pendrive sized device plugs into the laptop with a couple of tactile buttons in a palmheld box. I am considering using a PIBow a Raspberry pi based keyboard emulator for the next show For me It would be handy if the cue list auto scrolled to keep the next couple of cues in view. Again, Thanks for your hard work. T
  3. Fantastic news. I've only ever used WAV files.I use it for our charity panto each year.Small donation made.. I'll top it up next payday. T
  4. Raspberry pi would do the job, but suffers from problems if unplugged unexpectedly. I use an arduino to run half a dozen pre programmed scenes (I have a couple of potentiometers connected to the analogue ins for dimming) It doesnt learn new scenes, I have to reprogram it, but I'm sure you could get it to learn scenes and store the values in external non volatile memory. T
  5. I wired a motorcycle coms throat mic to a cheapish KAM radiomic belt pack. I used it to get a "throaty roar beast" effect in "Beauty and the beast" panto. It worked well and the dynamic range wasnt too bad. I think it just wired straight in using a spare plug with the dc bias resistor/capacitor. T
  6. I'm reminded of Douglas Adams's The Hitchhikers guide... "I teleported home one night, With Ron and Sid and Meg. Ron stole Meggies heart away, And I got Sidneys leg" Edited to fix formating
