  1. Hi @Andrew H As others have mentioned, powering non-dimmable loads from dimmers set @ full is certainly not ideal. If the dimmers are being set at full from the console, it is always possible for that level to be dimmed, even if the parameter is hidden away on the console. If you do wish to proceed with setting your dimmers @ full to provide power, you could do this by using the fixture file attached... Power Non-Dim.ift This fixture file features a single parameter under the "Beamshape" parameter, that is defaulted at full. Therefore once this fixture is patched and the console is powered, this channel will be taken to full. As it is a Beamshape parameter, it will not be inhibited by the Grand Master. Frog consoles cannot "Park" fixtures/channels. Hope this helps, Edward
  2. Hi @Mr Steve The <Update Library> option in Super User can be used to update the fixture library on the console. If you just wish to load in a fixture file, not a whole library, please see page 49 of the Jester TL manual for information on assigning fixtures… https://zero88.com/storage/downloads/5ebda1d3-7348-4727-ae31-fecedf299a46/Jester-TL-and-TLXtra-Manual-3.0.pdf#page=49 I hope this helps. Edward
  3. Hi @Ynot We have implemented the Philips Hue API into ZerOS 7.12 software (scheduled for release later this year), to allow FLX range consoles to communicate with Hue bridges. The Philips Hue API is well documented, which people have used for all sorts of control systems. For example I believe people have written scripts to convert Art-Net to Philips Hue API. PM me if you have any questions. Edward
  4. Hi @Zulu If you choose to go down the Philips Hue route, you won't need to worry about dimming LED lamps. Instead you can use a light fitting/fixture of your choice, and power this straight from the mains, not via a dimmer. You can then use a Philips Hue lamp of suitable style and lamp base in your fitting. In ZerOS 7.12 software, you will then be able to connect your FLX S24 to a Philips Hue bridge, and your Philips Hue lamps will then be automatically patched into your console. You can then control the Hue lamps just like a DMX fixture, with intensity and colour control, and record them into your cues. Philips Hue lamps are available in full colour, tuneable white, and warm white variants depending on your needs. Smart Plugs are also compatible, to provide you with simple relays you can control from your console. Please feel free to PM me if you'd like more information. Hope this helps. Edward
  5. Hi @Zulu What lighting desk do you use? If you are using a Zero 88 console running ZerOS, the next software update will bring native support for controlling Philips Hue smart bulbs and smart plugs. See the link below if you're interested... https://zero88.com/news/strand-and-zero-88-add-vision-net-color-kinetics-kinet-and-philips-hue-support-in-zeros-consoles Edward
  6. Hi @Laure nce "CFT" files can be created to build a small library of fixtures that is stored on the Fat Frog. This is done using the Common Fixture Manager software, not the Fixture Type Editor. To load in an individual .ift file that is not included in your small CFT library, please see page 55 of the PDF manual... https://zero88.com/storage/downloads/24230203-252a-4a5a-b578-43c498bd6721/Frog-Range-Manual.pdf For more Frog information, please see the link below... https://zero88.com/control/frog I hope this helps. Edward
  7. Hi @twinington I believe I have just replied to your email. It looks like your Focus Wash 400 are running the original firmware, which has different modes to the current firmware. The modes in the ZerOS Library are for the latest firmware, however I have emailed you the fixture file for the original modes. If you have any questions, please let me know. Edward
  8. Hi Mike, All faders on the Elara are the same type. If you wish to order one from a Zero 88 distributor, these are part code 4417000. As per @kgallen's suggestion it may be worth dropping @ianknight a line. End of play Friday may be a little tight but worth asking. If you have any questions, please let us know. Edward
  9. Hi Cerbertech, What lighting controller are you using? Potentially another approach, is to leave your DMX cabling going to the console somewhere out the way, and then remotely control the console using the console's remote applications? These will likely be designed to sit on Wi-Fi, and means if there is a temporary connection drop out, fixtures don't lose DMX. Edward
  10. Thanks... (Will doubtless be back to you if there are queries when the beast is finally installed in the venue!) No problem at all! Feel free to post Zero 88 related queries on the Zero 88 forum. Edward
  11. Hi Phosphene, It may also be worth taking a look at Fader Controls. This allows the fader of a playback to transition the colour of your fixtures from their current colour to the recorded colour, instead of using a fade time. If you have any questions just let me know. Edward
  12. Hi Stuart, If you'd like more information on FLX S consoles, just let me know. Edward
  13. Hi Stuart, Edward - what are the "Traffic Light RCBOs" that are mentioned as an option? I haven't come across the term before, and Google isn't turning anything up for me. Apologies for my delay in replying. The "Traffic Light RCBOs" which can be fitted in RigSwitch, have a green, yellow and red indicator LED on the RCBO. This indicates the amount of residual current present on that circuit. I can't remember exact figures off the top of my head, but believe the green LED will be illuminated 0-30% of the rated residual trip current (IΔn), yellow 30%-50%, and red 50%+. The Neutral Disconnect MCBs are two-pole MCBs. Live goes from MCB to relay to load, then neutral back to the neutral terminal of the MCB. Hope this helps, if you have any questions let me know. Edward
  14. Hi Kev and Jon, As Jon says, the bypass switches on Chilli cannot be remotely activated, however it may be worth taking a look at RigSwitch for this application... Zero 88 RigSwitch If you have any questions let me know. Edward
  15. Hi Mac, As James says, all of his great points will be applicable to operation on FLX too - there will just be some subtleties where there is a difference between MagicQ and ZerOS. Edward
  16. Hi Uriahdemon, I have replied to your post on the Zero 88 forum... Forum As Richard mentions, most consoles have the ability to replace existing fixtures in the show with a fixture of a different type. On FLX this is called "Change Profiles", where all existing programming will be applied to the new fixtures. For more information see below... ZerOS Manual Regarding Richard and Tim's comments to assign multiple fixtures onto a fader, this can of course be done by programming a group, or to allow you to instantly apply all programming done on one fixture to others, you can add multiple additional addresses to existing fixtures in the patch. You could therefore have programmed a single LED PAR in all your cues, add multiple addresses, and then multiple LED PARs of the same type will also do the same thing, even if addressed separately. More information here... ZerOS Manual Hope this helps, if you have any questions let me know. Edward
  17. Hi Brian, No, sadly they're not. The EEPROM chip on the PCB in the XLR connector had our own firmware on them, which allowed them to interface with the Diablo fixture manager application on PC. Edward
  18. Hello, Unfortunately we are no longer able to supply the Diablo USB to XLR adaptors. As Stuart suggests, it may be worth seeing whether Ian Knight has any in his stock. If you have any questions let us know. Edward
  19. Hi Richard, If you do make a table with it, I would love to see it! Edward
  20. Hi Jamie, OK thanks for letting us know. Yes worth getting it assessed to see what may be causing the issue. From the description it did sound like a dry joint on the analogue circuitry, but if you have reflowed the joints there could be something else going on. If you have any questions just let us know. Kevin - believe this is a Betapack 2, based on the channel “push buttons”, rather than rotary test switch. Kind regards Edward
  21. Hi Jamie, Sorry to hear this - how did you try to get in touch? I assume by "external Level 6" control, you mean the 8 pin DIN connector for analogue control? As Kevin mentions, take a look at the analogue circuitry, and see if there is anything different with connection 1 of the 8 pin DIN connector to the PCB. Feel free to drop us an email to support@zero88.com, or as Kevin suggests contact Keith our Service Manager directly, and we'll be able to point you in the right direction. Kind regards Edward
  22. The 6-channel Anytronics & Zero88 analogue desks take their power (+15v) from the dimmer pack. Legacy Z88 consoles could be powered from +20v supply on pin 7 of the DIN connectors. Z88 dimmers could supply +20v or -20v on pin 7 depending on the controller used. Edward
  23. Hello, I used to have a few of these. I seem to remember the lens tube clamp bolt would tighten plenty enough to hold in position, but with a firm twist the barrel could be rotated without loosening. Edward
  24. Hello, This sounds like a hardware issue. Feel free to drop us an email to support@zero88.com, and we'll be able to advise. If you have any questions let me know. Edward
  25. Hi Will, Sirius 250 & Sirius 500 consoles were manufactured from 1997 to 2000. I have added this information to the website. Hope this helps, Edward
