nickyboy
Hi. I'm working on a production of Oklahoma! and need to create an abstract wall of corn 3m high. It needs to spiral upwards out of a fixed base and be flexible enough to be parted and stepped through but still stand up of its own accord. I've thought about using 10mm pvc pipe with 8mm armature wire fed through it but don't know if it would be strong enough to stay up. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you. Nick. ;)
mac.calder
Why don't you fix top and bottom. You will still be able to walk through them, and they will be supported.
Jivemaster
Pultruded grp tube, painted yellow and fixed to a very secure base. The thin stuff is like whip aerial material the larger diameter gets to scaff tube rigidity. 2m lengths are in my local B&Q. Search telescopic poles on here for links. Ask your local plastics supplier. Look for a local supplier because some couriers won't carry 3m lengths!!
