Rather than blowing it all on helicopters and Ferraris, he decided that he would use his winnings to revive the fortunes of Welsh television. Having contacted BBC Wales and S4C with his idea, he sat with their top production executives and discussed how this would be achieved. Plans were laid, formats were tested on focus groups, pilots and new programmes were made on a scale never before seen in that region of the British Isles. And you know what ?
