Dexter1210 Posted July 13, 2005 Author Posted July 13, 2005 Just noticed another post r.e. licencing. what is the situation regarding video to projector bering in mind that there is no t.v. present is it the same as t.v. cards for computers I wonder?
J Pearce Posted July 13, 2005 Posted July 13, 2005 As far as I understand it, if you are going to receive and demodulate a TV signal you need a license, regardless of the viewing equipment.
paulears Posted July 13, 2005 Posted July 13, 2005 no - just having the apparatus that could do it is enough - it doesn't have to even be plugged in!
JimWebber Posted July 14, 2005 Posted July 14, 2005 Let's not forget you can get a discount on your TV licence, not sure how much, but I think it's around £10.00 (Go on Guys you know you want to prove me wrong ;-)) To qualify for this stupendous discount you only have to be blind, and not able to see it....
tonymaslen Posted July 14, 2005 Posted July 14, 2005 Do I need a licence? If you use a TV or any other device to receive or record TV programmes (for example, a VCR, set-top box, DVD recorder or PC with a broadcast card) - you need a TV Licence. You are required by law to have one. http://www.tvlicensing.co.uk/information/index.jsp#link1
