Based in Barnsley, Yorkshire, Innovation Productions specialise in the hire, installation and sales of audio, lighting, AV and staging equipment. The role: As an integral part of the installations departments operations, your role is to ensure equipment is prepared and deliveries happen safely and on time, in the best possible condition. You'll build staging and set up and operate equipment at events. You will supervise staff and crew in the warehouse and on site to stage build, deliver indoor events or support a touring show. General duties include: understand project requirements set-up, operate and remove equipment test equipment as required liaise with clients to deliver a high level of customer care manage equipment hire, returns and testing requirements assist with manufacture / repairs of equipment make deliveries / collections in suitable vehicle with safe loading and unloading perform basic vehicle checks and maintenance Skills and experience: working knowledge across lighting, sound, staging and video (with specialist knowledge in one area) Good DIY stills (eg use of hand tools and power tools) Basic electrical knowledge (eg able to wire connectors) Ability to work at heights safely and confidently Confident driving of 3.5T vans. (for driving positions) Good communication skills – both written and verbal Computer literacy and IT skills Punctual and smart, professional manner Proactive, with aptitude and willingness to learn (use of equipment at Innovation Productions Ltd) leadership and management experience - strong interpersonal skills Education and desirable qualifications: IPAF 3A and 3B LEEA Qualifications Counterbalance Forklift Ticket Reach Forklift Ticket All Terrain Telehandler Ticket C1 Driving License and CPC C Driving License and CPC Electrical Qualifications Clean Drivers License (for vehicle insurance) Training and career progression: Training will be offered to suitable candidates for certain skill sets (including the desirable qualifications above), equipment and software. Talented Event Technicians could progress their career to a Project Technician, Production Manager and other roles both in and outside of the entertainment industry.
