S Eveleigh AUB Posted September 26, 2022 Share Posted September 26, 2022 Job: Sound Facilitator Fee: £1050 inc VAT and expenses Dates: Show 1: 3rd Oct – 27th Oct, Show 2: 31st Oct – 24th Nov (7 working days from within this date range per show) Applicants please send CVs to seveleigh@aub.ac.uk We are looking for a sound technician to support the sourcing, editing and programming of sound effects and music for 2 of our upcoming Autumn term theatre productions. The Sound Facilitator will work alongside a professional director and resident production and technical staff, as well as working with the student technical team to help to deliver a high production value. The Sound Facilitator will not be expected to take on the full responsibilities of a Sound Designer, but experience with simple sound design is highly desirable. The successful candidate will have experience of sourcing and editing audio, programming content in QLab, and working in a theatrical environment. Previous experience working in a student environment is also highly desirable. The Sound Facilitator will be required on campus Mon-Thurs of the production week (show 1: w/c 24th Oct, show 2: w/c 21st Nov), and one day in each of the 3 rehearsal weeks (show 1: 3rd-21st Oct, show 2: 31st Oct - 18th Nov). Candidates are welcome to apply for either show 1 or show 2, or for both, as one person may take on both shows. All equipment will be provided by the university.
