We would also be interested to hear from individuals who are proficient in any other relevant technical disciplines (e.g. lighting, video, stage).   2. We are looking for a Production Coordinator to work on our December Dance Production, working alongside our resident creative and technical staff. The contract is for 3 weeks, covering two weeks of rehearsal and one week in production at Pavilion Dance South West, full dates below. The production is a collaboration between several BA undergraduate courses, resident staff and visiting professionals, and one of the key responsibilities of the postholder will be to liaise between these different departments. Working closely with the Artistic Director, Senior Technician and resident academic and technical staff, the Production Coordinator will also act as a key point of contact between the production team and Pavilion Dance South West. The ideal candidate will have some experience of stage or production management, will be a strong communicator, and will be capable of working independently and using their own initiative. Prior experience of working with LED tape for a theatrical production is essential. The successful candidate will be capable of working independently and will have a good working knowledge of set electrics. Previous experience working in a student environment is highly desirable. The Set Electrician will be required to work on campus for a number of days within the production cycle (14th Nov – 10th Dec), including at least one day in the fit-up week (w/c 28th Nov). Job: Video Technician Fee: £1400 inc VAT and expenses Dates: 17th Oct – 10th Nov (7 working days from within this date range) Applicants please send CVs to seveleigh@aub.ac.uk We are looking for a Video Technician to support projection and video content on our upcoming production of Until the Sun Goes Down. The Video Technician will provide technical support for the installation and maintenance of all video-related equipment on the production, as well as supporting student designers and technicians in mapping and programming a show file. They will also provide some support in pre-production, working with students to build and edit video content. The successful candidate will have experience of working with a variety of projection systems, programming video content in QLab, and building and editing video content. Previous experience working in a student environment is highly desirable. The Video Technician will be required on campus Mon-Thurs of the production week (w/c 7th Nov), and one day in each of the 3 rehearsal weeks (17th Oct – 4th Nov). The Sound Facilitator will work alongside a professional director and resident production and technical staff, as well as working with the student technical team to help to deliver a high production value. The Sound Facilitator will not be expected to take on the full responsibilities of a Sound Designer, but experience with simple sound design is highly desirable. The successful candidate will have experience of sourcing and editing audio, programming content in QLab, and working in a theatrical environment. Previous experience working in a student environment is also highly desirable. The Sound Facilitator will be required on campus Mon-Thurs of the production week (show 1: w/c 24th Oct, show 2: w/c 21st Nov), and one day in each of the 3 rehearsal weeks (show 1: 3rd-21st Oct, show 2: 31st Oct - 18th Nov). Salary: £32,348 per annum fixed term until July 2023 Post Type: Full Time - Fixed Term Closing Date: 23.59 hours BST on Sunday 25 September 2022 Interview Date: To be confirmed Reference: AD1075A We require a specialist Production and Scenic Design Coordinator with proven professional experience to co-ordinate team-working in scenic and production design by students, technicians and freelance staff, in support of curriculum delivery for our BA (Hons) Performance Design and Film Costume, and BA (Hons) Costume courses. The post-holder will also work in close collaboration with our BA (Hons) Acting, BA (Hons) Make-Up for Media & Performance and BA (Hons) Film Production courses. The successful candidate will also liaise with external partner organisations to deliver scenic and production elements for AUB Productions and a range of other performance and scenic exhibition projects. The successful candidate must be conversant with 2D and 3D Auto-Cad software applications for set design. You will have a thorough understanding of the planning and organisation of theatrical productions in studio theatres, larger proscenium arch venues and site-specific performance spaces. Skills in procurement, disposal and building processes, and scenic arts are also essential. Applicants should have strong, up-to-date knowledge and skills in fields associated with production design, namely: theatre design and / or scenic arts, prop-making and / or puppetry. The ability to plan and organise complex workloads both independently and also as a member of a team, is an essential feature of this role. You will work collaboratively with academics, technical staff and freelancers to support student set and costume designers with their learning on live projects. You will also assume responsibilities regarding health and safety, risk assessments and student welfare. Experience of live theatre production management and knowledge of effective workplace health and safety are essential.
