Soundcraft MFX compatible 60mm faders

Hi All,

I'm cleaning up a Soundcraft MFX 8-2 channel desk and could really do with replacing all the faders which are labled:

10KΩ A 833B (mono channels)

10KΩ A 833B (Stereo/EFX/Output channels)

Is there a reasonably priced compatible fader out there?

I also have an issue with one mono channel which has the signal present LED permantly lit. With a signal going through the channel it has no effect on the LED. The rest of the channel works correctly.

I've been searching for a service manual for this desk and am drawing a blank so I'm using a SC EFX technical manual as a guide. Is there a significant difference internally between the EFX and MFX ranges?

Many thanks

I've got the service manual called "MFXi - MPMi Technical manual". I don't know whether the MFX is the same as the MFXi but you're welcome to a copy. PM me your email address and I'll send it.

Hi All,

I am struggling to source these faders.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

The faders are labeled:

10KΩ A 842B (mono channels) (x8 required)

10KΩ A 833B (Stereo/EFX/Output channels) (x6 required)

Many thanks

Have you thought of contacting the Soundcraft service department?

They are very unlikely to be Soundcraft "specials", so it might also be worth checking on the usual auction site (a quick look came up with what might be the stereo one).

If you look at the parts list in that service manual I sent you, you will find the Soundcraft part number for them. If you then do a Google search for that part number you'll get some hits. If not directly from Google try searching for the part number on eBay.
