In the 80’s and 90’s Tim Hunkin created the tv series “the secret life of machines” for channel 4 - an amazingly good show that influenced me so so much. I was overjoyed to discover recently that he’s jumped to YouTube, publishing remastered versions of his original shows and producing updated videos and guides to modern technology and components. I had the original series on video tape (VHS not Betamax) for My Physics dept to use when a teacher was late or ill.

Only threw them out last year due to lack of space...

As and when travel is allowed again you should head over to Southwold pier near my home town of Lowestoft. They've got a mechanical clock that Tim made as well as the 'Under the pier show'. The chips are rather nice too.
