What are you mounting them on/how?

Presumably a bracket with a bolt, We've simply used appropriate bolt, Or the mounting accessory which is a plate with with a threaded bar.

Which version of ball joint do you have?

Many thanks for all the suggestions. Lot's of options.

The M10 to 5/8" and 5/8" to 3/8" adaptors, looks to be the best option for us (certainly the cheapest).

 

I'm also mounting some IR radiators with a ball head and these only have 3/8"

 

I was just surprised not to find a one piece off the shelf solution.

Mounting from unistrut. 1.5m studding drop to K&M 19695-300-55 ball joint.

 

Long lengths of 3.8th BSW threaded bar don't seem very available. Hence the M10 studding that we already have stock of.

Very fair comments.

They are available but not from the regular wholesale sort of locations without special order.

 

We did something similar once for Senny radiators but drilled and tapped the fitting to take M10 as the tools were on site and the adapters were not.
