Will this amp work with these speakers?

Hi,Speaker amp compatibility question from someone who gets easily confused with these things.

Can I use a Denon DN 333XAB line mixer amp to run a pair of Studio Spares Forte BG206 or BG208 speakers.

https://www.studiosp...aker_248611.htm

https://www.denonpro...view3/dn-333xab

The amp has a 4-ohm transformer bypass output but the speakers are 8-ohm.

They are being used in a large room (20m x 14m) for background music and are currently working well with a Denon DN-A100 amp however I like the additional functionality the 333XB offers.

Thanks

Provided that you're happy that it's a mono amp, and it has slightly higher power output.

2 8Ω speakers (in parallel) gives you 4Ω so from that point of view it'll be fine.

I had in fact failed to make that distinction but as it’s just background sounds I don’t think the mono is an issue. Are there implications in it being higher powered?
