jhughes01
I'm planning to record a wedding in a month's time, and am looking to buy miniDV tapes. However, while there are many good deals on 60 minute tapes, it seems that the 80 minutes have some kind of price premium on them (I can't find them for less than about £11).I know they used to be available for less, as I've recorded many a concert on them (and schools never buy expensive things :) ). Is anyone else finding this, and if not - where do you buy your tapes?
paulears
well, Google pulled them up in the top of the list at £7, I didn't bother to look further.

david.elsbury
Maybe you decide it's worth it, so that at 62 min, you can catch the action, rather than having to either miss it or stop the event (both pretty unprofessional, IMO).And probably because the 80min's aren't made in as great a quantity as the 60min's. paulears
quantity - 60's are the most popular - remember how expensive C120 cassettes and VHS E-240's were? - Actually, I remember paying double the E-180 price for some E-15's once
