audiopro25@hotmail.com
Hi Guys,I have owned 4 Robe 150XT spots that I bought second hand about 5 years ago and 3 work just great but one has this strange issue where the lamp lights when still but goes out when it is moving around according to X and Y axis movements. Does anyone know why or how to fix it.?I have just done a very thorough clean on all units of dust and grime and just puzzled why this head does this as it makes the head fairly useless unless you want it to stay in one spot (say to light a speaker at a podium)Would love your thoughts if possible. Thanks
timsabre
What have you tried?Initial suggestions would be to swap the lamp from a working unit, then swap the lampholder, then check the lamp wiring through the yoke is not broken anywhere.
Brian
Does the lamp come back on immediately when the movement has stopped? Or you have to wait for it to cool down and restrike?
James Remo
Sounds like blackout on movement is on. Press menu till you see Pers, hit enter, scroll till you see bl.Co and make sure that is set to OFF

Brian
I thought that was "blackout during movement correction".
timsabre
Yes it is, as in when the fixture is knocked out of position and corrects itself ... so your question of whether the lamp has to cool and restrike is the important one.
James Remo
Quite right, blackout on movement is set on ch5. Still could be what the issue is.
