Sennheiser G3 IEM - DC Jack Size

I found the Service Manual and the schematic has a part number on it: ROKA 520 2580. https://www.manualsl...-Em-100-G2.html J210 on page 20/32.

The recepticle is a 1.9mm pin, 6.6mm barrel aperture. https://roka-berlin....on-pcb/?lang=en (Example supplier https://www.buerklin...-19-mm/p/40f142 )

I've just had the micrometer out on my NT2-1 PSU which is used for the G2/G3 EW Rx's and almost certainly the same PSU for the IEMs. OD is 5.5mm. Newer NT2-3 PSU is the same barrel plug and is usable on G2/G3/G4.

Having looked on Sennheiser's UK spares site they don't give any dimension details.

Thomann recon it's 5.5mm OD https://www.thomann....t2_netzteil.htm

So you're probably right with your 5.5mm x 2.1mm

Barrel is centre positive 10.5-16VDC, 300mA on a 500G2 Rx for the sake of documenting it here for prosperity.

Arrrrgh!!!! :( thanks. I have some Sennheiser LSP500 speakers and we are wanting to have them set up with a panel mount DC and audio jack so that we can sit the IEM transmitter in the top slot rather than having it permanently fitted to the speaker slots. And ideally since they are brand new I would prefer not to void warranty by chopping leads....

David - I had a few bashes at my post as I found more info - 5.5x2.1 should be right from what I can find.

Bit late to the party, but couldn't find the PSU for my IEM transmitter the other day, and can confirm that the "standard" 5.5*2.1mm DC jack works well.

The Black Magic "standard" 5.5*2.5mm, works less well biggrin.gif

Hi, I have been looking into this and although the 5.5 x 2.1 plugs sometimes fit the Sennheiser G3 Transmitters and Receivers they can also be unreliable and intermittent when moved.  I've found out the actual size is 5.5mm x 1.7mm from a listing for a Sennheiser PSU. I confirmed it by getting a genuine Sennheiser PSU and trying to plug it into a 5.5mm x 2.1mm socket and it wouldn't go in.
