Stuart91
We've got an installation customer who is looking for some kind of credit or finance deal to spread the cost of the job. We are keeping well clear of that side of it ourselves. When we've done this in the past the customers have found a lender themselves and we have simply invoiced the lender instead of the customer. The total value of the job is going to end up somewhere between £10k and £15k. I've already been in touch with Azule, who have been really helpful but since this job falls towards the edge of the range they cover, I wonder if a different provider is going to be more competitive if it hits their "sweet spot". Can anyone recommend anywhere I can point the customers at?
paulears
You need to be careful - suggesting finance companies needs a licence, as you effectively become a credit broker!
cedd
I'd not thought about what Paul has to say, so now I'll choose my words carefully in saying that Medialease are a company who do the kind of things your client is looking for though I'm only suggesting them because they're the only company I know of who do that kind of thing. Jivemaster
Personally, having no detailed knowledge of the consumer and business finance regulations, I'd keep off this territory. Perhaps your accountant, or theirs could advise. They should be asking their accountant for this sort of advice, as they will already have a service contract with them.
