Lenses for Chauvet pinspot?

Hi,

I've got a couple of Chauvet LED pinspot 2s that I'm modifying for a specific install. Nice lights BTW! http://www.blue-room.org.uk/public/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif

They come with 50mm diameter lenses giving 6 and 9 degree beams. (I haven't figured out the focal lengths yet.) I'd like some other beam angle options, so I'm looking for sources of decent quality lenses.

Anyone here know a good source?

Many thanks! http://www.blue-room.org.uk/public/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif

From memory the condenser lens in a CCT Minuette condenser profile was (is?) about 30mm diam, & almost certainly came from them, so they should be able to handle small sizes, though a one-off might be a bit expensive.

Thanks, but I've got a pair of 500mm of those already ( which I'd bought for something else). Tried them. Decent quality, but far too wide. I doubt the 1000mm (the max they have on eBay) will be narrow enough.

I'll get a laser out and a couple retort stands and work out what focal length I need. Might be worth asking the seller on eBay.

OK. So I've been doing the measurements and a 6º lens is 125mm, while a 9º is 100mm. So I think I'm looking at a 150mm lens to go to a more narrow angle.

Meanwhile I seem to have got the decimal point in the wrong place (!) and your link p.k. does actually offer 150mm.! Thanks. http://www.blue-room.org.uk/public/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif
