Jivemaster
Unfortunate that the incident ever happened BUT all kudos to them for managing that a major incident had an apparently minor casualty list. There is probably a LOT of planning to achieve that especially in a polyglot crowd in holiday season.
Owain
Firemen (which google translate has down as "bombers"?!?) bomberos = firefighters (one who pumps, also petrol pump attendant)
Roderick
So the investigation has only just started. Good they had pre arranged evacuation notices for video screens.Using video screens is something I have been promoting for many years, too often with little success. It makes much more sense than announcements which can often be drowned in other noise and sends a clear message.I would like to see promoters become more proactive in this but can also see an involvement of the venues by providing pre made evac slides to production. Stuart91
In the Glasgow night club fire the punters played with the dripping fire from the plastic in the roof -and people filmed it. It was Edinburgh (not that punters are any more sensible at this end of the M8) More information here
jbrown96
It's rather impressive that the PA manages to stay in the air despite being very much on fire. Not much of the K1 system was left to stay up...
