Bdtsound Posted July 25, 2017 Posted July 25, 2017 Hello all,Recently select metering lights on our Yamaha M7CL have stayed lit. More of a background intensity of light rather than being stuck lit all the way. It is happening on the top mix meters and various other meters across the board. Has anyone else experienced this with an M7CL and what was the fix ? Thanks for any help or suggestions in advance.
radiomike Posted July 25, 2017 Posted July 25, 2017 I think peak hold leaves the LEDs fully lit. More likely the panel brightness is turned down a few notches. When you do this I think the green LEDs are left faintly lit to help you navigate the surface and see where the -18db point is quickly in darker environments and where you may not be using a lamp. Pm5d does a similar thing if you turn down the panel illumination and have panel assistance turned on. When the panel is set to maximum brightness, I think it doesn't do this as there's an assumption that your using the desk in a bright environment and can see the meters and hence the -18db point without assistance.
