James
Evening I've a pair of SB121s that have been fairly useful on occasion over the years but haven't seen much use overall. Recently they have been used with ZX1 tops for small portable gigs very successfully. One of them unfortunately has developed a fault and I suspect it needs a re-cone. At this point I think I've three options. 1) Purchase a kit and attempt to re-cone myself (not done anything like this before so not sure if this is achievable for a first timer?) 2) Find someone else to do the repair (any recommendations for anyone in the Sussex / South East area?) 3) I suspect they are fairly low value so might it be more cost effective to look out for a second hand complete replacement, or try to sell them on and put the money towards a pair of Z1-subs Any thoughts? Thanks James.
pete10uk
you can't go wrong with Roy at www.recones.com Used many times, great results and cost effective. All done via couriers so distance not a problem. From memory website has some popular models listed with the price, these have always been accurate in the past.
