J Pearce
I'm currently after a few small dimmers for a touring package I'm building up, I've been offered 2 Ryger DP40MS units, which look like good well built 4 x 10A DMX dimmers. The 1U form factor is very attractive to me, as I can get the whole system including DMX splitter and mains distro into a 3U or 4U rack. Can't find much at all online about them, anyone got a manual or know of any oddities I should be aware of?
dbuckley
I think we can help out here: DP40MS Mannual (PDF), from the Waaayback machine.
DrV
In this manual http://www.manualslib.com/manual/814672/Ryger-Navigator-DMX-Controller.html?page=4 it mentions that the dimmers can only use start addresses up to 61 which might be a bit limiting if you are integrating them with a larger rig. J Pearce
Many thanks for the manuals, I'd tried digging but got nowhere. In this instance I don't think addressing will be an issue, as I should always be able to have them on a separate universe with the rest of my touring floor package. I think I'd rather work around that when it is an issue than deal with the awkward form factor of the other options (NJD packs, multidims, or old betapacks) none of which are compact or place and plug solutions.
