handyandi
I have seen all the past posts on setups for Maqicq with touch screens (ELO's etc), but small convertible laptops (such as Lenovo yoga's & HP envy's) have hopefully improved since 2010-2013. I currently run a simple rig off a 2 preset desk in a venue but for more complex setups run from my non touch 15" laptop with the basic USB dongle (which is not left in situ). Although this works ok swapping over & repatching all the DMX address on the LED's is a pain so would like to get a touch screen convertible laptop to permanently run using Magicq, with the option when funds allow to get a miniwing. There is not alot of space to site any bigger screen than say 15" but my question is what size screen would suit the mini wing (maybe lining up faders to screen icons etc) The options are for 10" (which I think is too small for onscreen fader movements) 13",14",or 15". For most users it will be faders up down, cue changing etc, but would be useful if it could allow programming with your fingers.

paulears
I bought a second hand Panasonic tough book, for another bit of kit that only worked on pre-7 OS, and I stuck magicq on it - it works rather nicely so a handy backup device, plus virtually indestructible and useful!
