Judge Posted November 11, 2015 Posted November 11, 2015 I think that the biggest rig I ever designed and took out was about 300 instruments - mostly Pars and Lekos. I do not miss those days. I do not miss standing on stage for ages squinting up into the rig to focus - "up a bit, no back, not that one NEXT - pan left, tilt up" can't be doing with it.I like the old Queen method - all lamps locked off tight and then you just focus a whole truss section!I still always use Source 4 for keylight and plenty of fresnels for fills, but everything else I love being able to focus from my desk.
