DraftSight CAD Software on MAC

Hi all

Is anybody out there using DraftSight on a Mac (MacBook Pro Retina OS 10.2.2)?

 

I've been using it for ages as an alternative to AutoCAD which I can't afford. I had a slight glitch when I updated to Yosemite but downloading an older version from somewhere (I now can not find any reference to this issue or remember where from) resolved it. Unfortunately that version expired and I can not get the new one (Version 2015.2.0.2052) to work. It "Quits Unexpectedly " at start up.

 

Anybody else having this problem. I've survived for the past month on an AutoCAD trial but that's up now so I'm a bit stuck.

Can't help with DraftSight, but if you're desperate you can sort of get another month out of Autodesk by getting a trial of AutoCAD LT Mac, providing this meets your needs.
