Bobbsy
When I renewed my phone/data contract recently, the phone company had an offer where we got a free Samsung Galaxy tablet which arrived today. The initial thought is to save it as a birthday present for our ten year old but, just in case, I thought I'd ask if there are any worthwhile audio-related applications available for Android. I'd probably be most interested in something for playback duties so I don't have to take my larger laptop everywhere--but I'd be interested in anything sound-related. I've already had an RTA application suggested. Can we spoil a ten year old's birthday here? After all, he didn't clean his room when told... sandall
Don't know much about playback apps, but if you want a complete audio toolbox I cannot recommend AudioTool (especially if combined with a calibrated measurement mic) highly enough. It started off as a basic RTA & generator, but has a very active users' forum, & over the past couple of years has grown into a serious measurement tool. sam.spoons
I believe Android has a good number of apps for audio (and everything else) I bought a 'droid tablet to run Mixing Station for the X32 but haven't used it in anger yet, seems very good though.
