Alec97 Posted February 4, 2015 Share Posted February 4, 2015 So at the weekend I borrowed a pair of RCF esw1018, MC2 e100 and a XTA dp448 from my mate to do a gig. It was sound for a band and for a dj and with my sx300's above them it sounded sweet, now I'm looking to get some 18 's myself. Been looking at the EV tour x 118 sub and wondering how this stacks up to the rcf's ? I've also been looking at some das action 18's mk1 too. Any thoughts on these ? cedd Posted February 22, 2015 Share Posted February 22, 2015 My own pair of subs are ESW-1018's. I really like them. They were a cheap eBay buy a few years ago. They're not as loud as more modern 18" subs, but I've never run out of steam with them in the venues I do. I'd considered selling them and buying some newer, smaller powered cabinets. I run RCF TT-22a's as my tops so maybe something from the TT range, but to be honest I don't have a good enough reason to get rid of the ESW's.
