nb705
The full one is only 60 quid. Which is also pretty reasonable
alistermorton
Unless you go for the dual option in the alu case ... Although that's not really a dongle.
sam.spoons
1414095975[/url]' post='509929']I'd always prefer a user interface with physical controls, given the choice, but the software with that dongle is more than capable of of controlling those fixtures. Spend a bit of time programming ahead of the event and you'll be able to easily run a decent looking show. Thanks, I'll probably give it a go. I almost never get asked to do lights so this is probably a one and only (hence trying to get a lampie to do it) but at £10 I think it's worth a punt. Pete McCrea
We've got one in our production rack, 'just in case' we ever need to run something Lampy. £10 - it's a no brained really.
gyro_gearloose
The only issue I've ever had with the dongle is that it doesn't always fit into some USB sockets, and even if it does its a bit big. I've found that a short USB extension cable between laptop and dongle really helps.
timmeh2
Hi I've only had one crash on me, it was on a linux box runing Ubuntu. It did let go spectacularly, first sending every channel to full before putting the place into darkness. I suspect it was more of an OS issue rather than Chamsys as I experienced significant reboot issues. Ironically this event was the Ubuntu release seminar / launch party thing. I Lolled. (Quietly) All the bestTimmeh.
