partyadz
Hi all Has anyone ever used these before? Any opinions/ thoughts on them? Do you have to use the Nexo PS-8TD Controller with them? Cheers A
pjb304
I've used the before for as both FoH in smallish venues and mons for bands (in a church) They've been great in both situations. They will work without the PS8-TD, (or the digital version/nexo amps) but I would not recommend it. The PS8 has been designed to work with the controller and so won't sound as good without it. The controller is also designed to protect the speaker. It can detect both over exertion and overheating using the sense leads and will try to stop you doing any permanent damage. Stuart91
They are great speakers when used within their limitations. What are you planning on doing with them?
empyfree
We use them for all sorts, paired up with the ls400 sub they make a great combo! Bit of a faff rotating the horn to change between portrait (on stand/sub) and landscape (hanging from truss) but worth the effort.
partyadz
Many thanks all for your input. I'm planning on using them FOH in a small venue, for a bit of fill for the front few rows.
beware
We've just replaced ours with kv2 esd6. They're half the price and equivalent in almost every way. They have better vocal clarity. Have to say though, can't fault the PS8s. Great little speakers for conference work and the occasional band monitor.

But I still prefer the Nexo ps8 great speaker, but yeah use the controller, and a Camco amp if u can afford ** laughs out loud **
ross1c
I like the PS range, although they get a lot of grief - The PS8's are very small I would go for PS10 if you want to put a band through it.
