Incandescent blinders go on a suitability rated dimmer, LED blinders generally take a DMX feed. not sure we can help without more information? vinntec Posted February 24, 2014 Share Posted February 24, 2014 I am guessing you are just starting out? If the blinder has incandescent lamps ("light bulbs") in it then it connects to a dimmer and can be controlled using the 48 faders as normal. If at this point you say "yes they are , but what is a dimmer" then we have a problem! If, however, the blinder you have in mind uses LED, then this will connect to "hot" power and be dimmed using DMX commands from the Fat Frog with the device defined as a fixture (so managed using the wheels on the right-hand side of the console). So there will be a power cable connected into the mains and a DMX connection from the Fat Frog to control it.
