I have not come across these before and a friend has them in his hall. Now assuming the desk is not feeding a slightly hooky control level, the preheat has edged upwards so you can see Pars glowing dimly. Does anyone know this gear and give advice how to tweek?

Never heard of them (and I've heard of most lx manufacturers, including many of the more obscure ones), but a bit of digging turned up:

 

SCORPIO CONTROLS LTD, Johnsons Ind Est, Johnsons Way, Silverdale Rd, Hayes,

Middx UB3 3BA. TEL: 020 8569 2190 FAX: 020 8569 2790.

 

They were listed under lighting equipment, so it's probably their kit.
