iMove 5s

Hi,

 

We have an imove 5s moving head connected to a DMX Controller II, all slides work (movement of head and gobos) except for slide controlling colour (slide 5 on our desk). All we are getting is a yellow. Can anyone help!

2 possibilities:

 

1-The colour wheel motor is not working inside the imove unit

2-The slider is not working on the controller (does the controller have a display screen which would let you check this?)

Add '1' to the DMX address on the iMove 5, and then try again.

 

If colour works, but gobos don't, you know there's a problem with the fader on the desk.

 

If fader 5 controls the gobos, but fader 6 doesn't control the colour channel, you know the problem is on the unit with the Colour wheel.

The slider seems to be working as the Data changes on the controller display and this slider works with other LED's in the set up?

 

So I guess it's the colour wheel - any advice on repair/replacement?

 

Yep, added one to address and Channel 5 controls gobos but 6 not affecting colour change. So must be the colour wheel, do you know if this is something easy to repair/replace?

Have a look inside the unit (power off) and check the wheel is moving.

Sometimes it is a simple mechanical problem.
