JSqueaksBooth
Hay guys, I have tripple wheeled casters that are squeaking too loud for my liking, I've narrowed it down to the nylon wheels ie. not the bearings. As per usual the weight of the trucks is not evenly distributed which I don't think is helping. We have greased everything we can get grease into and this has helped a little but not enough (although they do glide like a dream) Any advice would be greatly appreciated. the kid
Is it the wheels. I would hazard a bet that it is the frame against timber.
JSqueaksBooth
I thought that but it seems to squeak when the trucks are being moved in a straight line and almost rythmicly as the wheels rotate. The speed and direction doesn't seem to effect it. ThanksJ
Andrew Edwards
Sorry can I just clarify... A rhythmic squeak that isn't affected by speed? The tempo of the squeak does not increase as you move the truck more quickly? Really?
JSqueaksBooth
Apologies the tempo changes with speed but it is present at all speeds. I'm aware that wasn't too clear my apologies. As an update we have removed the wheels and individually greased each axel which has temporarily stopped the squeak so we'll see how it goes Thanks all
