fluiduk
Hi All I might need to use 4 of these in a normal living room. Is this possible or will I need a genny? I know they use the most power when striking the lamp, so I would only strike one at a time Thanks Aaron
TomLyall
Martin Mac 300: 330 W, 1.6 A @ 230 V (their maths, not mine) If you assume a strike current of 6.4a (four times normal current) and only strike one at a time, you could run four from one 13a socket, although you may be pushing it a bit. So spread them over a couple of sockets, gives you a bit more freedom when striking too. Just to add, the fixtures arn't designed for domestic use, there may be safety conciderations (heat, fire...) when used in a 'normal living room'. fluiduk
Thats cool We are filming a music video in the room. Its quite conceptual and strange, so the room will acutally be empty. And it will only be the actor and crew in there. Not a house party of anything mad like that Aaron
Jivemaster
Just watch the advised minimum distance to flammable surface or materials and watch the surroundings for local overheating.
