andy_s Posted August 22, 2013 Share Posted August 22, 2013 indeed, this would give a great image, as would an overhead projector, which I've seen used for some amazing shadow effects, but the hing that swings it for tungsten (or any dimmable source) in my view is the ability to control the brightness and balance it with the rest of the stage picture. You will very possibly end up with the lens rings, they tend to stay about, Fresnel with no lens is good ( I may have a 243 available for hire ) Slide projector is great if you can get one. I DID just see a video of someone doing shadow puppet work. They put a halogen capsule in a sauce pan , it looked great! on reflection perhaps on the danger side but I think it must have been insulated.
