sleah
Sorry this is in the Mirror and all that; but be careful choosing your test material when setting up large screen presentations! Link It beggers belief that anyone would have 'questionable' material on a laptop (or other device for that matter) anywhere other than in their personal living space. On a device you carry round AND use for work? WHAT! :o :o :o :o Serves him right if he gets thrown to the lions!
Stuart91
Some friends of mine were involved with setting up a promotional stand in a shopping centre. There were a couple of flatscreens facing passing shoppers, with the control contained in a small cabin at the back of the stand. Shortly before closing time, some mischievous youngsters broke into the cabin, and replaced the video footage with something a little more hardcore. The following morning, the staff manning the stand were stood there, blissfully unawares of what was playing in front of them. Apparently it was quite a while before someone told them. bigclive
The BBC reported it differently as being a computer that had the exterior LED advertising panel mapped onto it's screen. The guy apparently popped a DVD in to watch the porn film oblivious to the fact it was being mirrored on the video wall. The story goes that when his company phoned him to tell him what was happening he panicked, ejected the DVD and threw it out a window. Contrary to the Mirror's implication that the poor commuters were forced to watch hard core porn in a degrading manner, the majority of those present took photographs of the screen and the overall communication on China's Internet chat network was one of mirth. It does remind me of when I was putting in new power supplies to the gaming equipment in bingo halls and the guys installing and commissioning the equipment put on a hard core porn DVD complete with porn-music and a strongly accented voice announcing that Helga liked it really hard and Hans was really giving it to her. This was fine until the Asian shopkeeper from next door popped in to ask the guys to move their van and was confronted by walls of porn. I wonder if he thought that Bingo was actually a chain of porn cinemas.
kerry davies
It reminds me of the old Prince of Wales cinema in Cardiff and their "blue" films. When I did the phones there I used to pop into the auditorium to get the 70 year old usherettes to make me a tea after reel two because the audience of pensioners in to keep warm were mostly asleep by then.
