pscandrett
Hi I have a cheapish (as hazers go) chauvet HZ-1000 hazer which appears to have stopped hazing. The fan works but the actual haze process doesn't seem to be wanting to work any more; it worked fine for a matinee performance and then just wouldn't fire up for the evening. I've had a quick look at it and there are some bubbles in the fluid line which could be causing the problem, I guess; other than that, the heating element seems to work (it's very hot, anyway!) but I don't know if the thing I think is a pump is working without taking the whole thing apart further. What are the best troubleshooting tips for checking everything on a hazer please? The unit's quite new. First things first... should I try to get rid of the bubbles in the fluid line? I've already tapped a few bubbles to the top but that's not necessarily got as far as the pump itself... Any advice appreciated! Many thanks Peter <><
lightbulb789
When it worked could you hear the motor when it was On? If you could can you still hear it. Same thing happened to mine (not the same hazer though) and it was just the pump which needed replacing.

lightbulb789
Well if you used to hear it and now you can't then it's proberly the motor.
paulears
If it really is quite new, then back to manufacturer. If out of warranty, I doubt it'll be economic to repair (assuming you can get the parts).
