paulears
I'm assuming, however, that this is a credit against your tax liability, rather than cash in the hand. Still maybe worth doing. I can't quite understand how it works, because it asks for your yearly in, but only hours of work - which seems a bit odd.
kerry davies
Nope, cash in bank, if not hand, and then it opens the door to tax rebates on top. They pay out in four-weekly chunks. WTC is also a Gateway Benefit which opens the door to free prescriptions, eye tests etc. The hours can be averaged out to an extent, just like WTD. You didn't think those "million new private sector jobs" were real did you? Half a million are newly self-employed claiming WTC which also helps explain why the cuts have left us borrowing more than ever. Many were taxpaying public servants and now we pay them up to £10k a year to pretend to run a business. Our town of 1500 people now has around 20 "alternative therapists", it is bonkers! Nowhere to buy mens undies and 5 aromatherapists to ensure that it doesn't matter.
