maxjones2000
Hi everyone! After playing on an GrandMA 2 yesterday at PLASA and thoroughly enjoying myself(!), I decided to download MA2onPC and MA 3D to learn the desk a bit more (as well as booking myself on a training course!). However, my brain is melting just trying to get them talking to each other on the same PC! I read in the manual that you have to start a session within the MA2 software and then have to invite MA 3D as a guest. The only problem is that I can't find how to start a new session within MA2!! I've worked out how to start one in MA 3D, but I then can't work out how to join it within MA2... So, would someone please mind explaining how to do it please, as I'm rubbish with anything to do with networking! MA 3D automatically starts with the IP address 127.0.0.1, and I'm under the impression that I need to set the MA2 software to 127.0.0.2 to get them talking on the same computer? Sorry to ask such a basic question, just I am truly out of my depth when it comes to this!Cheers,Max J On a side note, seriously impressed with the Full-size MA2...gorgeous desk and surprisingly easy to work out how to use! http://www.blue-room.org.uk/public/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif best start saving.... http://www.blue-room.org.uk/public/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif
niclights
I can't advise specifically but they should both be 127.0.0.1 if on the same machine.
Ross Bristo
Most MA hardware needs to be on the same software release to talk to each other. You should see devices connected to your network highlighted in red should any device be "out of date". You will not be able to join or invite to sessions if devices are on different software versions. MA Lighting have plenty of support available online and on their consoles. This section should help, http://help.malighting.com/view/concept/Conc_Network.html
