However, so far I've only had one unit actually start up the head fan, and that was in blazing sunshine last weekend when setting up.The rest of the time they run with the fans off (to date).I'm very happy with mine, for the money I think they are hard to beat.I'd like to see them next to the bigger brother (5500 is it?) to see how they compare. The output is certainly a good replacement for an MSD250/2 fixture, and even with gobo, colour and prism in the beam path there is still good light out the front. smalljoshua Posted July 19, 2013 Share Posted July 19, 2013 My main noise gripe is actually the Prism Rotation! It sounds like the bearings but is identical on all 4 of them. norty303 Posted July 22, 2013 Author Share Posted July 22, 2013 I looked at the DAP flightcases but they seemed to have a lot of excess space inside (I think they fit the longer Indigo 5500 too) so I'm having some made that are nice and snug with no centre storage compartment.I'll have a listen for the prism noise next time they're out.
