Unfortunately most of them went right over my head, as my electronics knowledge more or less begins and ends with the resistance colour code :( Mr. Fairchild's little transistor circuit would seem to be just the sort of thing I had in mind. I would prefer not to use CMOS due to it's static sensitivity (sorry I didn't mention that earlier, it's been a bit busy).
