3guk
Hi Guys, Have outgrown my homegrown google calendar type solution for managing crew and vehicle movements, was wondering if anyone had a better (paid?) solution ? Ideally need a way to assign crews to different vehicles which would attend different events. Does something like this exist already ? bl33dingsaint
shiftcontrol / rotify. Not sure if it's exactly what you want, but certainly with a look. http://www.rotify.com/
3guk
Hmmm, its close, but would ideally like to assign vehicles to events and then people to vehicles. Seems that you can't then look at an overall calendar on rotify.
gordontech
I havent got one for vehicles as most I do its a reg on the job sheet. There is an online crew management thing that was launched a while ago which has been discussed several times on BR. Allows employers to log in and book people and the crew to log in to see when and where they are booked.
d.breeze
Open Office's Calc (their version of Excel but free!) would be a good bet. My life is run by spreadsheets and I've found it incredibly useful in the past for sorting out scheduling, predominantly because you can enter completely custom functions anywhere you want, incredibly helfpul for idiot proofing the schedule to check you haven't double booked crew/vehicles. DrV
A similar request came up recently and I suggested keepandshare which seemed to go down well... If you like it too I'll have to start asking them for commission :)Dave
