peterdevon
Do usb mixers remove the problem of ground loop when using a laptop without a di box, ie is the ground of the usb isolated or are there still likely to be problems?
Simon Lewis
Often, yes, but it's not guaranteed...
dbuckley
On a sample size of one, no. Your mileage may vary.
Bobbsy
It's far from guaranteed. A USB cable is still a chunk of copper between two electrical devices and can still cause problems if there are two paths to earth.
timsabre
It did in my setup ... behringer 16 chan mixer to laptop using laptop mic socket and headphone socket - horrible hum/noise on whole system. Using mixer's USB connection - perfect sound. As the others say, YMMV.
