danthelightingman
Hi Everyone, We have a Zero 88 Fat Frog lighting desk in our venue. We would very much like to use Virtual Magic Sheet with the desk be we are not sure about how you go connecting the desk to the computer. Do you connect via USB to DMX, MIDI or a different way? Can anyone help please?
jonhole
I've not used Virtual Magic Sheet, but the manual says:Through an optional DMX-USB adapter it can monitor any DMX control console The FatFrog has the two DMX outs, so you could plug your lighting rig into one, and the DMX-USB adaptor into the other
gyro_gearloose
The FatFrog has the two DMX outs, so you could plug your lighting rig into one, and the DMX-USB adaptor into the other No need to do that. The VMS DMX/USB adaptor passes the DMX data out again, so all you'd need to do is : Desk DMX -> DMX/USB DMX in, DMX/USB DMX out-> the rest of your lighting rig. You'll need to buy the DMX/USB box from Goddard design. I don't think you can use any DMX interface.
